Conclusion first: I would highly recommend this course! Elisa is a very experienced Italian teacher. She speaks perfect English, which makes it easy for me to learn Italian in my second language (my first language is Chinese). This is a course that teaches basic conversations, it's very friendly to Italian beginners. One of the most impressive features of the course is that the words/expression taught in previous lessons are very well combined with those taught in later lessons, therefore my memory of the language is refreshed and reinforced along the way. Elisa also emphasizes the learning by chunks instead of single words. For example, to learn "ho bisogno di..." as a phrase instead of three separate words "ho"+"bisogno"+"di" - and I found this way of learning is amazingly effective. We also have weekly live group classes that focus on listening and speaking, where I can learn and practice with peers from all around the world. Her personality is charming. She always teaches the courses in a joyful style, it makes our lessons full of laughter. We are also encouraged to ask questions and engage with the material. She cares a lot about how students feel about the class and keeps improving the materials. I really enjoyed the time learning from Elisa. Hope more people get to know Elisa's wonderful Italian courses!

I'm really enjoying learning with Elisa - she is really helpful and clearly puts so much thought into what would be the most useful parts of Italian for us to learn as foreigners living and travelling in Italy. My favourite part is the listening as she has made all of these activities herself, so we get to hear more natural conversations between people in Italian.

I really enjoyed Elisa's course and teaching style. It was well laid out and easy to understand. The highlight for me was the live group training. That is when it all comes together. Learning a new language can be daunting, but for me the course was a positive and uplifting experience, and very useful for everyday Italian small talk.

Elisa has been teaching Italian to me for over a year now. With her patient teaching I have become much more confident in speaking and listening to Italian and in one year I have learnt so much! I look forward to the lessons each week . Elisa has the patience and an incredible way of making Italian understandable. Even though I have been learning Italian for several years, I found my confidence and fluency improved a lot during these sessions focussing on simple small talk topics. We also had a lot of fun and laughs along the way and I am now moving on to the next level of conversation classes. I highly recommend Elise as a teacher, she makes good use of the online format, managing the resources, the group and available time effectively.

Very good refresher of phrases learned a while ago. Great hands on session with other students were we get to speak in Italian to each other. Elisa did a great job in organizing the sessions.
